Brendan Evans

Pasadena, CA

BFA Class of 2020

Where did you train?

I trained at a local studio as a kid and then continued to the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. I have also trained at numerous summer programs.

What inspires you?

I am really inspired by the people around me or the circumstances I find myself in. I pull from those two because they are most relevant things in my daily life at the moment. I’m also inspired by events and information embedded in not only American history, but the world’s history. That is because I see what has been done before me by the greats in the art world, and I feel the need to rise to the occasion to ensure that the tradition lives on.

Describe yourself in three words.

Spontaneous. Imaginative. Motivated.

Tell us a fun fact about you.

When I was younger, I couldn’t pronounce my r’s.

What does it mean to be a part of USC Kaufman?

It’s a huge honor to be a part of the Kaufman class of 2020. Not only does it mean that I will be surrounded by some of the most talented and hardworking creative artists in the nation, but also that I will have the incredible opportunity of learning from some of the most successful leaders in the dance world. I am extremely excited to be a part of this small group that will perpetuate creativity and artistic self-improvement.
