Los Angeles native Evan Sagadencky is currently a dancer for Ate9 Dance Company under the direction of Danielle Agami. He is a YoungArts alumni and began his training at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA) where he performed works by Jiří Kylián, Hans Van Manen and Don Martin. Evan is currently a senior USC Kaufman student, where he trained with William Forsythe, Jodie Gates, Bret Easterling and Victor Quijada as well as performing works by William Forsythe, Alejandro Cerrudo, Sonya Tayeh, Barak Marshall and Andrew Winghart, among others. Evan regularly choreographs and collaborates with his colleagues, which takes form in music videos, performances-for-stage, multi-media installation performances, as well as multi-faceted projects. Most recently, Evan co-founded “project: e/stablish,” an online platform that reimagines what collaboration and artistic practices look like in the era of COVID-19 through the lens of six films, which includes 40 Los Angeles-based artists. At the core of his endeavors, Evan aims to cultivate sustainable, non-hierarchical and anti-racist spaces in any and every environment he immerses himself in. Upon graduating, Evan hopes to work in both the commercial and concert realms.
