Jessica Muszynski

Calgary, Canada

BFA Class of 2019

 Where did you train?

Richmond Academy of Dance in Richmond, British Columbia, and after moving to Calgary in 2012, I trained at Airborne Dance Centre in Calgary Alberta, Canada.

What inspires you?

The other students I dance with– I am so grateful to have been surrounded by amazing dancers that I can feed off. I also take a lot of inspiration from videos online. There are so many amazing dancers in the world and the internet has made it easy to learn from dancers I would have never had the chance to learn from even ten years ago.

Describe yourself in three word.

Compassionate, fun-loving and optimistic.

Tell us a fun fact about you.

I have been trying to learn Korean unsuccessfully for over a year and I love watching documentaries.

What does it mean to be a part of USC Kaufman’s inaugural class?

It is a dream come true. The innovative approach the school has taken on the new conservatory is refreshing, and I am so excited to start expanding the boundaries of dance with the faculty and other students.
