USC Kaufman Dean Julia M. Ritter shared the news in a letter to students, faculty, and staff.
Dear Kaufman Community,
I am pleased to share that USC Kaufman has once again been chosen as a partner school for The Arnhold Summer Fellowship Program, hosted by the Dance Education Laboratory (DEL) at New York City’s renowned Harkness Dance Center at 92nd Street Y.
This year’s fellows representing Kaufman are:
- Danté Rose, Faculty Fellow
- Faith Aquilar, Class of 2027
- Chris Chun, Class of 2027
- Layla White, Class of 2028
Founded by Jody Gottfried Arnhold, DEL has provided a welcoming and inclusive community that nurtures and supports professional learning. Selected student and faculty fellows are fully supported to travel and attend the DEL Summer Intensive for three weeks in New York City. The Summer Intensive curriculum includes DEL Essentials, DEL Dance for Early Childhood, and DEL Dance to Belong: An Embodied Dance History of 92NY, as well as events including a DEL Movement Sentence Choir, masterclasses, and performances.
Over time, USC Kaufman has built a meaningful relationship with DEL — including a recent conversation with Co-Executive Director Erin Lally and our participation in the DEL Movement Sentence Choir. We are grateful to see this partnership continue to flourish through the work of our faculty and students.
Please join me in congratulating Professor Rose, Faith, Chris, and Layla.
Dance On!
