BFA Class of 2019
Where did you train?
Baltimore School for the Arts.
What inspires you?
I live by Maya Angelou’s quote: “I delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it goes through to achieve that beauty.” Growing up, I was taught to work hard for success, and that motivates me everyday.
Describe yourself in three words.
Colorful (purple), generous, and spiritual.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself.
I wear the color purple everyday. Sometimes it’s a pair of pants or a dress or even a leotard or dance accessories. I am always wearing it.
What does it mean to be a part of USC Kaufman’s inaugural class?
Before the audition, I had a dream where I imagined how amazing it would be to be taught by all of these professional dance icons that I have seen on stage and in the media. When I walked into my interview and saw all of their smiling faces (those that without knowing me, wished to guide me in the next steps for my career), I knew that I wanted this experience more than any other. Receiving my acceptance letter was just surreal!
