Originally from Orlando, Florida, Amanda Peet has undergone extensive training in multiple dance forms, shaping her into a versatile artist. Her training journey continued in Dallas, Texas, where she attended both the Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and Dance Industry Performing Arts Center. During her time there, she had the privilege of performing various works by Aszure Barton, Mark Caserta, Roderick George, Mikey Morado, and Micaela Taylor. These experiences significantly influenced her decision to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the prestigious Glorya Kaufman School of Dance.

At USC Kaufman, she had the privilege of performing works by acclaimed choreographers such as Kyle Abraham, Hope Boykin, Jiří Kylián, Justin Peck, Dwight Rhoden, Paul Taylor, and many others. Beyond USC Kaufman, Amanda furthered her training by participating in programs like the highly esteemed Jacob’s Pillow Contemporary Program and The Biennale College Danza, led by Wayne McGregor.

Amanda’s passion for increasing accessibility to arts education programs for marginalized youth has been a driving force in her pursuits beyond the studio. Her Minor in Nonprofits, Philanthropy, and Volunteerism has empowered her to collaborate with various nonprofits in the Los Angeles area. Additionally, Amanda actively participates in Kaufman Connections, a community outreach program where she teaches dance classes to students at 32nd Elementary School. In the future, she plans to continue her work in the nonprofit sector by developing dance education programs for low-income students in inner-city communities.
