Born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, Rachel Harris began training at Dance Productions. While studying, Rachel participated and assisted choreog- raphers in competitions, scholarship pageants and conventions along the east coast. Her experiences and training landed her at the University of Southern California, where she is also studying architecture. Rachel has widened her knowledge performing classical and contemporary works by a wide range of choreographers. She looks forward to using her versatile interests to dive into contemporary company work and the commercial industry, performing on tour and in television commercials. Following her extensive performance career, she wants to merge her interdisciplinary studies in architecture by developing an energy efficient dance studio to house an organization created by her family and dance colleagues. She will teach and put forth all she has learned into future underserved generations so they can access the arts more easily and receive quality dance training all while helping the environment.
