DANC347: Dance Collaboration

CoLab: Trinity Laban Conservatory

6 KSOD choreographers will work in pairs with Trinity Laban composers and dancers to engage in New Music/New Dance Processes over the course of one week. There is an informal sharing on the final day. Participants will also have the opportunity to explore Greenwich and London and attend various cultural events. 

Dates: Feb 6-15, 2026 (10 days/8 nights)

Units: 1.0

Cost: $1,500 Program Fee + Additional Incidentals

  • Includes airfare, shared hotel accommodation with kitchen, airport transfers, and some cultural activities. Students are on their own for meals.

International Programs (25-26): Paris, France

DANC483: Dance Performance (Maymester – or – Summer Session 1)

Depending on Paris Performance Dates

16-18 KSOD dancers will have the opportunity to perform alongside students from the Paris Conservatory (Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris) as part of a dynamic contemporary triple bill in Paris May/June 2026. Participants will also have the opportunity to explore Paris and attend various cultural events. 

The triple bill will feature:

  • One work by CNSM (Robyn Orlin)
  • One work by KSOD (Bintou Dembélé) – 8 USC dancers + 1 understudy
  • One collaborative work (Leïla Ka) – 8 USC dancers + 1 understudy

The collaboration begins this Fall 2025, when CNSM dancers and the French choreographers travel to Los Angeles. There will be two Visions & Voices performances: Oct 16 & 17, 2025. Students engaged in these processes will rehearse throughout USC Fall Break.  

Dates: TBD late-May/early-June 2026 

  • 3 weeks:
    • One week of prep at Kaufman pre-departure
    • Two weeks in Paris: (TBD 14 days/12 nights)

Units: 0-2 (Unit Variable: TBD)
