Orsi Bakos
Orsi Bakos was born in Szeged, Hungary, and currently divides her time between Budapest and Los Angeles. She is the proud mother of two children, both of whom are studying at USC. Her passion for dance began at the age of 9, when her mother introduced her to Hungarian folk dance, a discipline she pursued for 10 years before having to stop due to back issues. However, she still believes that “once a dancer, always a dancer.”
After meeting her husband, Orsi joined the family business, focusing on marketing and package design. For eight years, she managed their 12-room boutique hotel and restaurant. In 2012, alongside her husband Janos, she embarked on a philanthropic journey, dedicating herself to supporting young, emerging artists and organizations.
Orsi’s interests are diverse, from practicing Iyengar Yoga to exploring various forms of art, including gastronomy and architecture. She is also actively involved in the arts and philanthropy world, serving as a member of the Victoria & Albert Museum’s Photo Acquisition Group, a supporter of the Delfina Foundation, and a member of the board of trustees at Bátor Tábor, a SeriousFun Children’s Network Camp.
