Discover USC Kaufman events in Los Angeles and New York City

The USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance is pleased to announce Fall 2025 Open House events taking place in both Los Angeles and New York City.
USC Kaufman’s Fall 2025 Open House events provide opportunities to sample “a day in the-life” of a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) student or a Dance Minor at the University of Southern California.
The school’s world-renowned faculty will be teaching an array of open-level technique classes underscoring the expansive artistry and far-reaching hybridity that comes with being a USC Kaufman scholar and artist. Prospective students can attend these technique classes and info sessions for FREE!
The open house events will allow prospective students and their families many opportunities to connect and meet with BFA faculty, Kaufman Student Ambassadors, as well as admission staff. Each open house will also include an information session or Q&A that will provide context about our curriculum, repertory, campus resources, scholarship opportunities, admissions, and more. These events are open to high school Juniors, Seniors and their guardians.

This New York City event will feature open level technique classes taught by Kaufman faculty.
Technique classes for students will include:
- Ballet
- Contemporary
- Hip-Hop
Students can expect to take up to three open-level technique classes sequentially. Following class, USC Kaufman Admission Ambassadors and faculty will host a brief in-studio Q&A about programming, admissions, scholarship opportunities, curriculum and more.
Technique classes will start at 10:00 AM and end at 2:00 PM. A Q&A session will follow until 2:30 PM.
Please note that students are expected to be at Gibney from 10:00 AM-2:30 PM and take up to three technique classes with a 25-minute lunch break. Guardians are welcome to participate in the Question & Answer Session.

This event will take place at the USC campus at the Glorya Kaufman School of Dance as a part of Discover USC Open House. There is no cost to attend.
Technique Classes | 10:00 AM-1:00 PM
- Ballet
- Contemporary
- Hip-Hop
Classes will begin at 10:00 PM and last until 1:00 PM. Students can take up to two technique classes of their choice. The classes are taught by our BFA Kaufman faculty. Each class will last approximately one hour and 20 minutes. Students may select their technique upon arrival.
Please Note: The classes are mixed level, but some experience is helpful. There is no formal dress code but please dress appropriately for the form.
Students and Guardians Info Session | 2:00-3:30 PM
2:00-3:00 PM. Students and parents can join an admissions representative for an information session about our Kaufman’s curriculum, programming, performances, scholarship, admission and more. Hosted building tours will follow.
