This past December, I had the opportunity to be filmed as part of the Netflix television series, GLOW (Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling). Growing up, I had always dreamt of being on television. I can now say that my dream has come true–well, not quite yet. The episode I danced in will appear in the third season, coming this spring around April.

A new field

I hope this is one of many experiences filming for a big screen in my career. I’ve recently begun dancing in more commercial work, and I truly enjoy the atmosphere. Regardless of what the future holds, I will cherish and be forever grateful for this experience that I was so fortunate to have. I loved working alongside some of the most talented producers, writers, directors, actresses, dancers and more.

A taste of the industry

One of the coolest parts about this process was being on set and engaging with the actresses. We were all able to learn and interact with one another in such a friendly way. The setting was so unique and positive, and fostered such a productive working environment. The environment really embodied what the show is all about. On set, I fell in love with the actresses. Afterward, I went home and binge-watched the show as soon as I was done filming!

Ultimately, this experience provided me with an immense amount of respect for the world of television and made me eager and more excited for the opportunities ahead of me, especially with commencement just around the corner. Look out for the episode on Netflix in a couple months!
