Ashley Choy (she/her)

BFA Class of 2028
Where did you train?
I trained at Art & Soul Dance Company in Toronto, Canada.
What inspires you?
I find myself constantly inspired through connections formed in relation to different aspects of life, including dance in relation to myself, the people around me, and my worldview of dance. I often think of dance as a metaphor for life—through various experiences, accumulating a breadth of knowledge to better inform my processes allows me to think more critically on a deeper level. Dance has and continues to shift the trajectory of my life, catalyzing self-discovery, interconnectedness, and inspiration.
Describe yourself in three words
Authentic. Curious. Ambitious.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself
I initially picked gymnastics over dance when I was six, before switching back to dance when I was nine.
