BFA Class of 2029

Where did you train?

Academy of Nevada Ballet Theatre.

What inspires you?

To be constantly evolving as an artist and person is what inspires me. This art form challenges me to stay present, confront discomfort, and translate emotion into something physical and human. I was initially drawn to this art form because of how layered it is; there are aspects of athleticism, storytelling, history, and vulnerability. It gives me space to reflect, but also push forward. I’m inspired by the process of learning, unlearning, and collaborating. I believe an exemplary student or dancer isn’t just someone who takes up space, but someone who contributes to it with awareness, respect, and care. It’s not about being the best in the room; it’s about being the most receptive.

Describe yourself in three words.

Spontaneous. Resilient. Driven.

Tell us a fun fact about you.

I almost completely switched career paths to go the medical route after I tore my meniscus two years ago.

What does it mean to be a part of USC Kaufman?

To be part of a legacy containing the next generation of dancers and artists that’ll leave a mark on the community. I’ll be constantly surrounded by other like-minded students and faculty that keeps pushing the agenda of dance and growth. It’s an environment filled with love for not only the art form, but for everyone else. As well as being a constant flow of wisdom and information. USC Kaufman is a place where dreams become reality when thoughts become actions.
