Jordan Powell (she/her)
BFA Class of 2022
Jordan Powell is a hybrid dance artist, currently completing her BFA in Dance at the USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance. At USC Kaufman, Jordan has performed works by George Balanchine, Jiří Kylián, William Forsythe, Merce Cunningham, Paul Taylor, Doug Varone, Hope Boykin, and Barak Marshall among others. Her commercial work includes Kate Spade New York’s Summer 2021 Campaign and Brandy’s Baby Mama music video.
Jordan’s passion is for multiple dance genres with goals of performing globally, and across the concert, commercial and Broadway worlds. She also nurtures a love for dance education and frequently teaches at Project Dance Studio in New Jersey, and both taught and was an arts education intern for Everybody Dance LA. Jordan continues to participate in Kaufman Connections, a community engagement initiative, by providing dance classes to students at the 32nd Street Elementary School.
She hopes to remain involved in community outreach so people can experience the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual fulfillment of dance. Her love and appreciation for dance has made her an effective advocate for the art form. Through performance, dance education and community engagement, Jordan aims to showcase the intersections between dance and culture, to make dance more accessible to new participants.
