Where did you train?
I had the incredible opportunity to train at Kanyok Arts Initiative in New York City, where I was mentored by founder and director Laurie Kanyok. I also expanded my training through renowned intensives such as Jacob’s Pillow and Ballet BC.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by the power to touch someone’s heart through movement. Throughout my dance journey, I have been inspired by so many people, and ever since, my only goal has been to do the same. Whether through dance or simply by being a kind human being, I want to leave a lasting, inspiring legacy just as I have followed the one paved for me.
Describe yourself in three words.
Old-Soul. Loyal. Powerful.
Tell us a fun fact about you.
I can speak gibberish!
What does it mean to be a part of USC Kaufman?
To be part of USC Kaufman is so much bigger than myself. It means following the incredible legacy that has been left behind—and also creating a new one. It means stepping into my individuality and bringing kindness, positivity, and love to this program. It’s about pushing completely out of my comfort zone—not only physically but also learning more about the fundamentals of dance, its history, and the diverse cultures it embraces. It’s about learning how to grow and adapt in a new environment, surrounded by classmates who are just as driven and determined as I am. It’s like jumping into a freezing pool with nothing but trust, respect, and an open mind, knowing you are in the best place you can possibly be. This is forever a dream come true.
