Leeann Ross (she/they)

Atlanta, GA

BFA Class of 2025

Where did you train?

My training is primarily from the fine arts high school I attended, DeKalb School of the Arts, which is centered around ballet, modern and jazz styles. Without the privilege of training at a studio, I utilize the knowledge I acquired at school to train regularly in my home environment as well.

What inspires you?

I am constantly inspired by my everyday surroundings. Witnessing others’ art typically sparks inspiration for me in a different art form. For example, I can listen to a beautiful song that translates into my acting. Similarly, I can see a painting that enables me to dance with the energy I gain from said artwork.

Describe yourself in three words.

Creative, willing, experimental.

Tell us a fun fact about you.

A fun fact about me is that I am interested in all things art-related! I love to try new art forms whenever I can; this includes dancing, acting, painting, filmmaking, photography, modeling, et cetera. Next, I plan to play around with some musical elements!

What does it mean to be a part of USC Kaufman?

Being a part of USC Kaufman means being a part of a judgment-free community that prides itself on learning and experimenting daily to be not only the best dancer, but the best overall artist, I can be for myself.
