During her time at USC Kaufman, Yamashita pursued dance alongside a pre-dental track. She was deeply committed to the school, having served on the Student Advisory Board for two years and co-founding the SC Choreographic Collective, a student organization dedicated to organizing self-produced shows and fundraising. Yamashita aspires to eventually integrate her passions for dance and science in higher education after her career as a dancer with Complexions Contemporary Ballet.
