Trey Gordon (he/him)

Davenport, IA

BFA Class of 2029

Where did you train?

I trained at Above the Barre Dance Academy in all styles. I also received a lot of my early ballet training from Ballet Quad Cities.

What inspires you?

I find inspiration in knowing that dance is this living, breathing art form and a vessel for storytelling and expression, that everyone has their own unique connection to. Being surrounded by kind, encouraging, and passionate artists is also incredibly inspiring.

Describe yourself in three words.

Friendly. Determined. Curious.

Tell us a fun fact about you.

My favorite foods are mac-n-cheese and ice cream even though I’m VERY Lactose Intolerant.

What does it mean to be a part of USC Kaufman?

I always knew I wanted to pursue a BFA in Dance ever since I was ten. As I grew up, I knew I wanted to be in a program that challenges and expands the definition of dance, but also fosters a community that values, creativity and growth. USC Kaufman embodies just that. Dance is the thing I love most, and being in an environment with so many others, who share that same love brings me immense joy. I am beyond excited to work with such talented people, and I couldn’t be more grateful for this opportunity!
