Join us for the launch of Beyond the Monolith, a long-term series of events at the USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance designed to uplift the important, diverse, and multifaceted voices of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) artists, and to increase representation and engagement with their creative work.

The first event will feature screenings of award-winning dance films by USC Kaufman students and faculty. USC Kaufman BFA students will perform excerpts of new works by renowned dancer-choreographers Yin Yue (founder of Yin Yue Dance Company, NYC) and Peter Chu (chuthis., Las Vegas). Yue and Chu will then join the Kaufman artists for a conversation about creating work and navigating the professional dance world in a panel moderated by USC Kaufman faculty member Bonnie Oda Homsey, which will include filmmakers Hayden Rivas and Ryan Phuong and faculty members Achinta S. McDaniel and Tiffany Bong.
